I’m a mom, wife and grandma (Nana). Currently I am a homeschooling, stay-at-home parent but it hasn’t always been that way. There was a time I was a single parent without a support system and to say we were scraping the bottom would be an understatement. This isn’t the blog of someone who has it all figured out. Every day I learn something new. What this blog is, though, is a way for me to share what I have learned, often the hard way.
We are a multigenerational household. I have an adult child and grandchild living with us as well as our youngest. I have other adult children that for this or that reason move back in with us from time to time. The key to keeping things moving forward is flexibility and sacrifice. There it is, the S word – Sacrifice. We all have things we want. Part of being an adult is looking at that want next to a need and deciding which is more important in the long run. I want a lot of different things. We choose to forgo things in order to be able to provide support to our family.
This blog won’t share how to decorate or dress like a million bucks on a thrift store budget. This blog is about taking a tight budget and finding even more ways to squeeze out a few more dollars. I’ll share my successes and my mistakes.
